The Generic RU486 and Misoprostol pills work effectively with 95% to 98% success rate. But to confirm if the pregnancy ended successfully, visit a clinic for a follow-up after a couple of weeks of finishing the abortion pill course.

·       An ultrasound scan of the whole abdomen is advisable. It will check to note any signs of physical complications, or if the uterus is empty of all the pregnancy portions.

·       You may require emergency care and medical assistance if you have a fever that is higher than 100.4°F/38°C even after 24 hours.

·       If the pregnancy has gone over 12 weeks. Or, if the pregnancy is outside the uterus.

·       If you are allergic to Generic RU486 and Cytotec (Misoprostol) pills.

·       If you have an intrauterine birth control device not removed before the abortion.

·       If you are on long-term corticosteroid therapy and have adrenal insufficiency.

·       If you have serious anemia, asthma, kidney/liver/heart disease, an undiagnosed adnexal mass, unexplained vaginal bleeding, or with an artificial heart valve.
